International Social Work Month

Sometimes finding writing and blogging inspiration is hard, so I was pleased to find information online about World Social Work Day (18th March 2025). This is the perfect material for my site and blog – The Fictional Fifties – a largely invented account of my progress through my fifth decade.

Coming from a family full of social workers and their ilk, librarians, teachers and so on, this is the perfect angle to refresh my blogging and online writing into the middle of the 2020’s.

The most famous social worker I know of is…social workers don’t really do fame, maybe infamy, possibly. It is the antidote to show business – half the time they are picking up the pieces of peoples’ ill-conceived attempts to see themselves or their off spring up in lights. I am not sure if the recently deceased member of the boy band One Direction had a social worker – he should have done…tbc…!!!
